Nestled into the hill overlooking the Klamath River, this charming river front cabin is the perfect get away spot to relax, rejuvenate, and get back to nature!  The 1,440 sq. ft. log home has plenty of space to house residents and guests with three bedrooms and two and a half baths plus large finished daylight basement.  The upstairs master suite is very spacious with a large master bath and a private balcony overlooking the river.  The main floor is full of cabin character with a free standing Lopey stove in the cozy family room as well as a rock fireplace in the living room.  Many built-ins throughout the house including desks, shelves and cupboards, perfect for easy furnishing of a vacation home.  In addition to all the standard modern appliances in the kitchen, including garbage disposal, there is a quaint old-fashioned wood cook stove.  A large deck wraps around two sides of the home with lots of space for eating, napping, and enjoying the sight and sound of rushing water.   Located near a great fishing hole on the mighty Klamath River, this property is bordered by public land which adds to the river access and adventuring possibilities.  Fruit trees, work shop, carport, fenced garden/lawn area, and near-by public boat launch complete this fantastic setting.  There is also a possible second home site complete with access to power.

Dry Fly Lodge is very secluded yet still only a short trip to the town of Happy Camp for groceries, the medical clinic, or a trip to the famous pizza house.  Located in the heart of gold county, Happy Camp was originally named by miners, but is also known as “The Heart of the Klamath” and the "Gateway to the Marbles”.   Happy Camp has a population of 1,190 people and is on the "Bigfoot Scenic Byway," an 89-mile stretch of California State Route 96.  Reflecting this fun tradition, the town is home to an 18ft-tall Bigfoot statue, made out of recycled metal, and the annual Bigfoot Jamboree. The Klamath River flows 257 miles through Oregon and northern California, emptying into the Pacific Ocean. By average discharge, the Klamath is the second largest river in California, after the Sacramento River.  The Marble Mountains cover thousands of acres and contain almost a hundred lakes. There are many trail heads for this Wilderness Area within 10 miles of the town. The Pacific Crest Trails passes through the Marbles.  Among the most interesting lakes is Spirit Lake, which contains a luminescent chemical and has been seen to "glow" in the dark.  This area is an outdoor recreational paradise if you love hiking, fishing, hunting, gold panning, riding and more.
