Scott Valley and Siskiyou County are at the far northern end of the state, about 45 minutes to the Oregon border.  The county includes large amounts of public land in the Klamath National Forest, Marble Mountain Wilderness and Russian Wilderness, making it a wonderful place for those who enjoy hiking, trail riding, trout fishing, camping and other back country pursuits.  This home is also about 45 minutes from Trinity Lake, home to world class small mouth bass fishing.  Mt. Shasta and Mt. Ashland Ski Parks are both within driving distance for a day of winter sports.  It's about 40 minutes to Yreka, which has a small hospital, shopping, etc., although nearby Etna has a grocery store, several great restaurants, a library, elementary and high schools.  If you are willing to take on a little work, but want a wonderful country home, come check this one out!
